The University of Iowa Mobile Clinic is a student-run nonprofit organization that offers free basic healthcare services to anyone who needs it. We serve about 10 different community sites in and around Iowa City. Our patient population includes: low-income, un/underinsured families, homeless, elderly, immigrants/refugees (Sudan, Mexico, etc), migrant workers, returning from incarceration, and more. Our services include, blood pressure checks, diabetes and cholesterol labs, flu shots, social work assessments, physical therapy sessions, free glasses, HIV/HCV testing, flu shots, HPV vaccinations, a full clinic visit with a provider and more! Our services are available in English, Spanish, Arabic, French, and other languages upon request.
We have also adopted a new telemedicine platform and are able to offer many of the same services, as well as connections with mental health counseling. In order to sign up, patients just have to call or text (319) 636-2684. We have expanded our services to across the entire state of Iowa and are dedicated to helping uninsured individuals with their healthcare needs.
