Support Diversity Among Business Leaders!
Join the Tippie College of Business in helping students be the change they want to see in the world. This grant will fund women and underrepresented undergraduate student attendance at leadership conferences across the country. Students will develop leadership skills, build their professional networks, and expand their global views.
For example, the Iowa Women Lead Change conference offers a two-day leadership conference featuring world-renowned speakers, workshops, networking opportunities, and access to leadership resources. Other major-specific conferences are available to students including, for example, INFORMS student leadership conference for those in management sciences or the FMA Conference for finance majors.
We at Tippie recognize our unique responsibility as educators of future business leaders, and we value uniting diverse voices in conversation and leadership. In our pursuit of providing experiential learning and diversity initiatives for students, this crowdsourcing campaign allows us to stand behind meaningful student experiences. Conferences such as these offer our students unique opportunities and exposure to new perspectives that will give them a competitive edge!
Supporting student attendance at conferences such as these can be inexpensive if local ($100 on average) or much more expensive if travel and hotel are necessary ($1,000+). We hope to reach our $5,000 goal to support anywhere from 5 to 50 undergraduate students this year.
Please join us in this investment in Tippie undergraduate women and underrepresented students!
(Please note that your gift will be made to Tippie Excellence Fund and then directed to support this initiative.)
