UIOWA Army ROTC 10-Miler Team Fundraiser
The University of Iowa’s Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) Hawkeye Ten-Miler Team is requesting your support to compete in the Army Ten-Miler race in Washington D.C. On October 13, 2019, the Hawkeye team hopes to join over 35,000 others runners from around the world in the 35th running of the Army Ten-Miler. This prestigious race began in 1985 and is the second largest ten mile race in the U.S. The race supports Army outreach, builds morale, and promotes physical fitness.
The Hawkeye Ten-Miler team consists of nine University of Iowa Cadets. The team will represent the University of Iowa and the Mighty Hawkeye ROTC Battalion in this year’s race, and they need your help getting to the starting line. The race is 1000 miles from the University of Iowa, and the team requires funding for flights (no time to drive due to ongoing classes), lodging, ground transportation, meals, and race fees. Our goal is to raise $8,000.
Thank you in advance for supporting our efforts to contribute to the Army’s strength and readiness.
