Give Back: The Hawkeye Completion Grant
The Student Advancement Network is an organization on campus that strives to promote philanthropy education on campus and highlight its impact. This year, in alignment with Giving Tuesday, we’re raising money for a cause that we’re truly passionate about – the Hawkeye Completion Grant – which helps our fellow students pay their University Bills so they can register for classes and graduate on time.
Students will satisfactory academic progress, good non-academic conduct, and demonstrated financial need are eligible for the Hawkeye Completion Grant, which is administered by the UI's Student Financial Aid Office.
Here's how it works:
- Students with a past due University Bill at the beginning of registration who meet the eligibility criteria can apply for the Hawkeye Completion Grant.
- Staff will work with eligible students to make sure all of their resources to pay for their University Bill are reasonably exhausted.
- Students will work with staff to develop a plan that will help them avoid a past due University Bill in future semesters.
- Students receive the grant and register or graduate on time
Our goal is to raise $1,000 in support of this initiative. All funding raised through our campaign will directly support Hawkeyes in need.
