Iowa Wildlife Camps has been providing kids with unique wildlife experiences since 1991. Our mission is to awaken awareness, nurture appreciation, and inspire action for all things Wild. We know from research and first-hand experience that summer enrichment programs are an important experience in a young person’s development, and we hope that a camper’s time spent at Iowa Wildlife Camps leads them to develop their own personal curiosity, relationship with and sense of stewardship for the outdoors.
Iowa Wildlife Camps offers programming both locally at the Macbride Nature Recreation Area and across the state at numerous Iowa State Parks. We cherish our established role in the community and strive to always uphold an authentic and accessible summer program for campers local to the Iowa City and Solon area. And, through our partnership with the Iowa DNR, we are excited to provide Iowa Wildlife Camps to young people/children across the state.
Your donation will go towards Iowa Wildlife Camps’ Financial Assistance Program. We believe outdoor learning experiences are important for all kids. Your donation will help provide financial assistance to families who otherwise would not be able to send their child to camp. This summer, we were able to provide financial assistance to every single request we received thanks to the generosity of donors like you in our first annual GOLDrush campaign in 2023. Let’s do it again in 2024!
To send a child to one week of camp is $280. Our goal is to match what we raised last year and send 20 kids to camp again next summer! In total, our fundraising goal is $5,600. Help us reach our goal and provide more financial assistance to campers hoping to spend their summers outside at Iowa Wildlife Camps.
